what happens if you work on an grease rig ?Smoking bar ?
I guess technically if you are outside British territorial waters the ban would not be valid. However since it is such an noteworthy health issue I would hope it would be enforced by the companies anyway!

i still infer your not allowed smoke, its insecure anyway to smoke on an oil rig
afterwards there are clear air areas to smoke but the bigger cross-examine on an oil rig is whether it is a fire risk.
What happen to what? What a stupid question!! If you are wondering if you can smoke while working on an grease rig. Certainly you can, an oil rig is not flammable.

Not sure what the law are regarding smoking while working on an grease rig, and they may vary within different countries. However, it stands to reason that one would not endanger oneself or others by doing so. Since near are chemicals being used, and grease and gas being drilled for, the likelihood of explosion are tremendous. In the United States, OSHA regulates safety procedures. Roughnecks and others working on rigs tend to squirrel away their smoking until they are well away from the rigs.
It doesn't situation where you work, if you smoke you are a robustness hazard and should be exterminated!!
