Suspicious brownies: taste strange and cause a slight burning surrounded by our throats?

This guy my brother sort of knew made some brownies and give him a plate of them. My brother brought them home and he, my sister and I ate one, but noticed against the clock after a bite or two they didn't taste right and gone a burning sensation in our throats, we didn't finish drinking them and threw them away. What could have be in them? Was it an twist of fate or on purpose?Suspicious brownies: taste strange and cause a slight burning surrounded by our throats?

Shouldn't own threw them out. I would have taken them to the police. Sounds resembling they were infected
Maybe they had red pepper contained by them or something. Its good that you threw them out. Don't trust that friend again.

You should be asking the guy that made them if near was anything surrounded by them.

If you feel nothing, after NOTHING was contained by them but normal stuff (baking ingredients) and you probably fruitless a perfectly moral (yet DRY) batch of brownies... If anything HAD be in them, you would own felt SOMETHING strange and not lately a burning in the throat... have he put laxatives in them, THAT you would hold also been aware of shortly after injesting them...
Without knowing the guy adjectives that well you made the right decree to toss them out. However, inexperienced bakers can often use too much baking powder and, or baking soda and that can effect an odd taster and slight throat irritation.
